Here is another case of suspected controlling of a spouse.
If Lisa were alive and just ran off as Craig stated, why did he file a motion to dismiss the divorce?
He had sent the kids to the local store to buy candy, leaving him alone in the house with Lisa. He said Lisa took her purse and her cell phone and left on foot.
Both women lived outside of Chicago, Stacy in Bolingbrook and Lisa in Plainfield.
Both women are the same height and only a 20 pound difference in weight. Lisa Stebic, a 38 year old mother of 2, last seen by her husband, Craig, on April 30, 2007.
When they attended parties for extended family members, the children were not permitted to speak to their grandparents, who often were standing in the same room. Craig Stebic cooperated at the beginning of the investigation and turned over the family computer but he refused to submit to a polygraph test. Craig ordered his children not to speak with authorities about their mother.
A few days after Craig was named person of interest in Lisa’s disappearance, he filed a motion to have the divorce proceedings dismissed.
